As I mentioned in an earlier post, West Virginia was hit by a storm only a few days before our campers arrived. ACE Adventure Resort and much of the state have been out of power since the storm. But this hasn’t stopped our team from having fun. After all who needs power to race a mud obstacle course, tour zip lines, run rapids, or enjoy a camp fire?
On the first full day of in West Virginia our band of misfits set a new ACE team record on the mud obstacle course.
Yesterday the group decided to bump up their free day and hang out by the lake. ACE worked with us to make this swap. It made it easier for them to provide an outstanding experience with regard to the power outages. Our campers particularly loved the massive air blob on ACE’s lake.
Today our campers hit their first day of rapids. They will be on the Upper New River practicing on class 1-3 rapids. Also through a strange alignment of the universe one of the former Adventure Directors at Frost Valley will be their personal guide for the rafting portion of the trip. Frost Vallens really are everywhere!
More updates to come soon!
