Service trips are designed for participants who are looking for an opportunity to volunteer and meet new friends during the summer. Each participant will be expected to partake in the activities and work involved with the trip. Building, picking up debris and painting are among the many activities you may be asked to do. This work can be physically demanding and, at times, difficult. In the evenings, groups will discuss volunteerism and process the days events, brainstorm ideas to help those in need and talk about why they are interested in helping others.
Groups will stay in tents in established campsites during the trip, with access to showers and flushing toilets. The vehicle will be parked next to the campsite, so participants will not have to carry personal items very far. Maximum group size is 10 participants.
