Service trips are designed for participants who are looking for an opportunity to volunteer and meet new friends during the summer. Each participant will be expected to partake in the activities and work involved with the trip. Building, picking up debris and painting are among the many activities you may be asked to do. This work can be physically demanding and, at times, difficult. In the evenings, groups will discuss volunteerism and process the days events, brainstorm ideas to help those in need and talk about why they are interested in helping others.
Groups will stay in tents in established campsites during the trip, with access to showers and flushing toilets. The vehicle will be parked next to the campsite, so participants will not have to carry personal items very far. Maximum group size is 10 participants. Work with Habitat for Humanity Catskills to gain community service hours, new friends, and new skills. Help us rebuild the Catskills from the devastating effects of Hurricane Irene and earn up to 35 volunteer service hours. While we’re there, we’ll enjoy the beauty of the Catskill Mountains by climbing in the nearby Mohonk Preserve and biking in the esteemed Minnewaska State Park.

Explore the beautiful area of Acadia, Maine as you help maintain trails and complete service work with the National Park Service. We’ll earn up to 35 hours of community service digging in the dirt, trimming trees and doing various other projects around the park. On our days off from all our hard work, we’ll spend time climbing and biking in the area.

This beginner service adventure teaches you all about animals. You’ll volunteer with an animal shelter, work at a farm and explore some animals up close by visiting places like the local aquarium. Earn up a minimum of 10 hours of service credit as you meet new friends and try new things.
Frost Valley reserves the right to cancel adventure trip sections if minimum number of participants is not met.

Intermediate
