Rock Band: Frost Valley • Sessions 1 – 4 (July 1 – Aug 24)
Rock Band: Frost Valley* is a special option for musicians who want to learn how bands work and experience the joy of making music in a group setting. Bring your instrument to camp and join other musicians (in groups) to learn together on top of our mountain where the neighbors can’t complain! Two hours of supervised practice each day.
Each two-week session of Rock Band: Frost Valley will touch on the ingredients necessary to make a good band thrive and succeed: communicating on and off the stage, the art of compromise, how to find the right places to practice and perform, staging a great show, performing professionally and most excellently, how to get that first gig!
Delve into a different musical genre each day with a multimedia presentation geared to exposing campers to a wide variety of music like blues, classic rock, punk, soul, funk, heavy metal and more! Also name your band and design a logo. The session culminates with a gig at Frost Valley for a jury of your peers! Are you ready?
*Proficiency in your chosen instrument required.
Note: Not available for campers participating in Farm, Adventure Village or Adventure Trips or East Valley Ranch.
