Virtual 360 degree Tour of our Educational Farm

Powered By Virtual Rabbit

Located 12 miles away from Frost Valley’s main camp in the peaceful Denning Valley along the East Branch of the Neversink River, farm camp is our two-week program during which campers live, work and play together on our 515-acre farm.  The program combines farm education and sustainable living with traditional camp activities, which makes for a life changing experience.

We have a 5-acre garden that is a core area of our programs and gives campers a chance to experience sustainability and growing food for themselves.  During their time at the farm, they will learn about planting, weeding, composting, natural mulching, harvesting and food preservation.

Another great focus of the farm is our barn, pastures and animals.  Animals include chickens, cows, pigs, donkey, horses, sheep, goats, rabbits and ducks.  Farm campers will interact with the animals, performing chores, learning how to care for them and understand their importance on sustainable farms.

Our farm camp counselors are chosen for their teaching and counseling abilities and come from a variety of cultural and professional backgrounds.  They are supported by seasonal summer staff including a full-time medical staff.  Campers are assigned to yurts by school grade and gender.
