A bed and breakfast style house, The East Valley Lodge (formerly known as the Straus Center) features a private dining room with fresh meals prepared daily. Over 10 miles of marked hiking trails depart just a few feet from the front door of the lodge. It is the ultimate Catskill country inn for small groups, featuring eleven double occupancy bedrooms as well as three areas for meeting including a spacious, comfortable living room. A new addition of 5 Mongolian Yurts allows up to 60 people for larger groups wanting a more intimate stay.
Social clubs, religious groups, and not-for-profit organizations return year after year for retreats, family reunions, leadership training and educational workshops. East Valley Ranch and Lodge is a stand-alone facility, renowned for its wellness cuisine and surrounded by hundreds of acres of forests and fields and located on the banks of the East Branch of the Neversink River. It is wonderfully secluded and self-contained and located 14 miles from our main facility. There are a variety of program spaces, meeting rooms, 26 stall horse barn, new arts and crafts center and a low and high ropes course.
