Globe Theatre

When the house lights go down and the curtain rises Frost Valley’s “Globe Theatre” comes alive! The program is housed in the brand new, state of the art 160-seat theatre.

We are super excited that former Frost Valley Arts Instructor Eric Colton will heading up this popular program this coming summer.  His extensive background in theatre and film enables him to teach everything on-stage and off.  Eric has worked on Seasons 7 and 8 of American Idol, assisted one of the Senior Producers at Entertainment Tonight, and most recently directed the Philadelphia premiere of Pasek and Pauls “EDGES.” Eric is extremely excited to “bring Broadway to the Catskills.”

With Eric campers can expect a wide variety of theatrical programming; with short musicals, comedies, radio plays, and improvisation workshops!  At Frost Valley campers decide whether they want to be on stage as an actor or off as a stage manager or technical designer. No matter where you talent lies you will be part of a major production and have the chance to show the rest of camp what you’ve learned…to a packed out audience!

As choreographer Martha Graham once said, “The canter of the stage is where I am;” and this summer YOU can be a star in Frost Valleys Globe Theatre program!
