Trip Descriptions:
Multi-Sport Series
If you want to explore what the great outdoors has to offer, look no further. These trips focus on new and exciting activities including whitewater rafting, rock climbing, kayak touring, and biking. Camping is often frontcountry allowing us to be comfortable at night after pushing ourselves to the limit all day.
Rocks ‘N Ropes difficulty: easy
Ages 12-15 – August 10 to 17 $850
Tired of people telling you to stop climbing on everything? You are just the person we’ve been looking for! Join us on a week-long climbing session that includes day climbs in the world-famous “Gunks” of New York. You will work on climbing technique, belay, and basic safety while having the time of your life with a group of friends who love climbing as much as you do.
West Virginia Whitewater difficulty: moderate
Ages 13-16 – July 27 to August 8 $1700
Over 15 years of experience in West Virginia has taught us one thing above all else—we love whitewater! Join us for two weeks of rock climbing, caving, mountain biking, high ropes, and (of course) whitewater rafting in the world-renowned New River Gorge.
Maine Coast difficulty: moderate
Ages 13-16 – August 10 to 22 $1600
From biking the carriage roads of Acadia National Park to rock climbing on Otter Cliffs, you will not believe how much there is to do on Mount Desert Island. After 6 days of land-based adventures, we will join certified Maine kayak guides for 4 days of island camping as we explore Maine’s coastal islands in tandem sea kayaks.
Traveler Series
There is a whole world out there and you’re ready to explore it. These trips travel far and wide exploring fresh activities and unique cultures both in the U.S. and abroad. Whether surfing the Pacific Ocean in California or snorkeling Carribean waters, prepare to look at the world from a different angle.
West Coast Surf & Skate difficulty: moderate
Ages 12-15 – July 13 to 25 $2350
Sand, surf, and sun await you in California on this all-inclusive adventure. Whether you’re a beginner looking for the basics or an experienced rider hoping to pick up some new tricks, you will come away from this trip with the experience of a lifetime.*Registration deadline is June 10.
Costa Rica Explorer difficulty: moderate
Ages 14-17 – June 29 to July 11 $2995 + $250 international insurance fee
This all-inclusive trip will travel to Costa Rica where we will assist with a number of projects underway in local communities. Our efforts will protect sea turtles on the coast, help reforestation efforts in Pital, and prevent poaching of macaws near the Pacific Coast. Along the way we will have the opportunity to snorkel, whitewater raft, and stay with local families.*Registration deadline is May 12.
Service Learning Series
Habitat New Orleans difficulty: moderate
Ages 14-17 – NEW SESSION: July 13 to July 25 & July 27 to August 8 $1950
Families in New Orleans are still feeling the effects of Hurricane Katrina. We will work with New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity to build affordable housing with deserving families. Besides earning up to 40 hours of community service, you will visit one of the country’s premier aquariums, take a voodoo walking tour, and experience Cajun life in the Crescent City.
*Registration deadline is June 23.

Ages 14-17 – June 29 to July 11; August 10 to 22 $1600
Working with Adirondack Habitat for Humanity, your trip will help provide affordable housing to deserving families. Make new friends while earning up to 40 hours of community service that you can apply to your high school graduation requirement. Along the way, you will have time to explore the beauty and adventure that only the Adirondacks can provide.
Backcountry Series
These trips are for kids who want to get away from it all. Whether hiking or paddling, we’ll be heading into remote wilderness areas and going at our own pace. Skills developed on these trips include cooking, campsite selection, navigation with map and compass, fire building, and basic survival skills.
Wilderness Skill Builder difficulty: easy
Ages 11-13 – June 29 to July 6; July 13 to 20 $745
This one-week trip will focus on the skills you need to hike, canoe, and camp in the backcountry. From cooking to compasses, we will leave no stone unturned as we explore the Catskill Mountains and beyond.
Adirondack Rambler difficulty: moderate
Ages 12-14 – June 29 to July 11; July 27 to August 8 $1550
Enjoy new friends and activities in the largest public park in the contiguous U.S. The Adirondacks are the perfect place to canoe, backpack, rock climb, and whitewater raft. Join us for a two-week experience that is beyond comparison.
Boots & Boats difficulty: challenging
Ages 14-16 – July 27 to August 8 $1500
This trip will leave civilization behind for two weeks of backpacking and canoeing in New York’s Adirondack Park. Learn backcountry cooking, navigation, fire-building and much more in a beautiful wilderness setting. No summer is complete without this classic Frost Valley adventure.
Ontario Outback difficulty: challenging
Ages 14-16 – July 13 to 25 $1600
We’ll pack up and head for the Great White North on this two-week trip to Ontario’s Killarney Provincial Park. Known for it’s white quartzite cliffs and sapphire blue waters, Killarney is a paddler’s paradise. We’ll also stop at Niagara Falls to round out our Canadian experience.
Adventure Village
Ages 11-14 – June 29 to July 11; July 13 to 25; July 27 to August 8
Same pricing as resident camp
This specialty village combines the best of Resident Camp and Adventure Trips for an experience beyond comparison. Every camper will have the opportunity to choose activities from 3 categories: Climbing & High Ropes, Action Sports, and Traditional Outdoors. Activity periods will range from 1 hour to 3 days with supervision and instruction from trained counselors and Adventure staff. Campers will also get to participate in some of their favorite resident camp activities like Ultimate Sicko Ball, the dance, and waterfront. While they are on camp, Adventure Village is housed in the Sequoia platform tents with the bathhouse and yurt just steps away. During mini-trips, kids will sleep in tents at established campsites. If you are interested in exploring Adventure activities, but still want your fix of Resident Camp, you have found your place.
Climbing & High Ropes: These activities will get you off of the ground and into the vertical world. You’ll learn belay and rock climbing techniques as you take trips to the “Gunks” for world-class rock climbing. The Zipline, Giant Swing, and other high ropes elements will be your challenges on camp.
Action Sports: Skateboarding, mountain boarding, and mountain biking make up the bulk of activities in this category. With all of the local skate parks and resorts, we’ll have no shortage of places to visit. Plus enjoy mountain boarding at Pete’s Pavilion before spending the night at this Frost Valley landmark.
Traditional Outdoors: Canoeing, backpacking, and other outdoor pursuits will be explored during trips around camp and beyond. Kids will get a taste of the backcountry as they take a 3-day canoe trip down the Delaware River, hike some of the high peaks of the Catskills, or tube the Esopus.
