What
are the benefits?
Your child will have the opportunity to develop a core sense of
values, social skills, confidence-building tools that s/he can draw
from throughout a lifetime. These skills are taught and enforced
in a positive social environment. Frost Valley YMCA’s summer
camp unites traditional camping with innovative programs, focusing
on building and maintaining healthy lifestyles and reflects the
interests and needs of a dynamic camp community. The Frost Valley
YMCA camp community is an exciting mix of cultures, backgrounds,
and abilities.

Why
Frost Valley?
With over a century of
leadership and camping experience to its name, Frost Valley YMCA
remains one of the largest camps in the country, yet a special connectedness
exists which celebrates the importance of each and every one of
our campers. This is evidenced not only by the high ratio of camp
returnees, but also by the very supportive alumni network that has
developed over the years.
Frost Valley’s location
is phenomenal. With 6,000 acres of natural beauty at its finest,
surrounded by 250,000 acres of State Forest Preserve, Frost Valley
YMCA is home to miles of hiking trails, pristine waterfronts, lakes,
and streams. All programs encourage campers to develop an appreciation
of the world’s natural resources and a commitment to stewardship
of Earth’s finite resources.
Frost Valley distinctive programs include:
Mainstreaming-At-Camp, a program that acclimates children who have
physical challenges; The Ruth Carole Gottscho Dialysis Program,
which serves children who have renal ailments; and the Frost Valley
Campership Program which serves children of diverse cultures and
ethnicities from throughout the Tri-State region.
