The best gift of all is sharing quality time with your family. Kick off the holiday season with a stress-free weekend at Frost Valley YMCA, celebrating with your family beneath the Frost Valley Christmas tree. Enjoy musical performances by the Bronx Opera and the Lakeland Youth Symphony before joining us around the fireplace for hot cocoa. Holiday-centered crafts complement our traditional camp favorites. This festive weekend will give your holiday spirit a head start, allowing you to enjoy the true meaning of the season all winter long! Lodging is free in our Modern Camp Style Lodges.

Girl Scouts: Chef for a Weekend at EVR

December 5 @ 6:00 pm - December 7 @ 12:00 pm

Our chef will teach the basics of cooking, give a tour of our kitchen, help plan healthy meals, and offer international sandwiches that you can make yourself. By the end of the weekend, your troop will prepare a variety of dishes, including dessert, to earn the Simple Meals Badge. East Valley Ranch, just 12 miles from Main Camp, offers both a bed-and-breakfast style lodge that sleeps up to 35 guests, as well as Mongolian yurts that sleep an additional 60 guests. East Valley Ranch has its own dining room, program facilities, and staff who are eager to help your troop have an amazing experience this year!

A day full of holiday-centered activities includes creating handcrafted Christmas cards, decorations, and wreaths; snowshoeing; cross-country skiing; and snow tubing. We continue to offer our traditional camp favorites: climbing, hiking, arts and crafts, and more. Stick around this evening for a musical performance by the Bronx Opera in our Castle for a small additional fee.

The date for the second annual Community Holiday Dinner is set for Friday, December 12th. We welcome local families and friends to join us for a delicious holiday dinner, accompanied by festive activities and crafts your whole family will enjoy. Join us for this FREE event in the Thomas Lodge Dining Hall from 5:00-8:00pm for family fun, with buffet-style dinner available from 6:00-7:30.
