This end-of-the-season bash is a great way to bid adieu to summer, and family memories will warm your heart all year long. Available activities include Frost Valley favorites: climbing, hiking, archery, canoeing, ziplining, arts and crafts, sports and games, and much more! Satisfy your appetite and join us for a classic Labor Day tradition—our annual BBQ, Saturday evening on the shores of Lake Cole. Afterward, meet us around the campfire for songs, skits, and s’mores. Sunday evening is movie night!

Bring your family to East Valley Ranch to enjoy a weekend where you all have the opportunity to work with horses and explore all of the great activities we have to offer. These weekends are themed around horses but no previous horse experience is required. We will ride, work with horses on the ground, and help everyone learn some creative and fun facts about horses.  Throughout the weekend, we offer hikes, crafts, and other activities to complement all of the time spent at the barn. Minimum age for children is 7.

Dads, whether you’re looking to introduce the great outdoors to your little guy or to explore the woods with your adult son, this is the perfect guy’s adventure weekend. Rough it in a platform tent, hike the trails, fi sh the streams and lake, explore the woods, catch bugs, get dirty, and cook over an open fi re. You can also climb our Y-Tower, give archery a try, explore our Nature and Raptor Centers, and even go on a Sasquatch hunt! Surprise your sons with your survival skills and make memories just for the guys. Stay in the Platform Tents and pay only $122 per person!

3D Archery Shoot & BBQ Picnic

Come join us for our 3D Archery Shoot & BBQ picnic! It’s a great way to spend time outdoors with the family.  All ages are welcome.  Shooters move between target stages and are scored on arrow placement. Cost: $16 per adult and $6 per child for non members, free for members. Through expert-led daily hikes, experience beauty and nature in Catskill Park — part of New York’s “forever wild” Forest Preserve. Join our naturalists for active adventures investigating and interpreting the dynamic natural history of the area as you encounter meadows, ponds, cascading waterfalls, and seemingly endless mountain trails throughout pristine landscapes. Road Scholar, the not-for-profit dedicated to lifelong learning all around the world formerly known as Elderhostel, offers adventurous educational programs and weekend retreats at Frost Valley YMCA’s East Valley Ranch.
