Donor Relations Manager - Full Time
Basic Function:
To work with Development staff to cultivate new donors, donor relations, solicit gifts, manage gift acknowledgement and track contacts. Support the building of a strong alumni and volunteer network in pursuit of developing each individual participant’s potential to contribute their time, talents and monetary gifts to further Frost Valley YMCA’s mission and goals. Assist with alumni, donor and special events.
Education/Experience:
Associates or Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in a related field, preferably in a not-for-profit organization. Must have extensive computer experience, including but not limited to, use of Microsoft Office applications, internet, email, and databases. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. High level of organizational skills as well as the ability to prioritize work effectively. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Clean and valid driver’s license required.
Requirements/Responsibilities:
•Process donations and prepare acknowledgement letters and other correspondence.
•Maintain foundation, corporation and individual donor files.
•Manage all pledge payment reminders and report on outstanding pledge payments.
•Prepare and produce general and donor reports, summaries; general and confidential correspondence as directed.
•Continually update and maintain database records.
•Conduct preliminary research on prospective corporate foundation and individual donors.
•Plan, design and coordinate outreach programs aimed at alumni/donor cultivation and fundraising.
•Coordinate and implement programs for gift acknowledgement, donor recognition and stewardship.
•Assist with the Board, committee, sub-committee meetings, alumni, fundraising events and special projects.
•Update and maintain Frost Valley YMCA’s publication and solicitation mailing lists.
•Guard donor privacy and confidentiality to the highest degree.
•Other duties as assigned by the Director of Development.
•Occasional travel and nights/weekends may be required.
• All actions and decisions must parallel Frost Valley YMCA’s operating objectives, mission and core values.
Pay Rate: $39,000-$45,000 per year plus GREAT benefits!!

Summer Camp Counselor-Part Time
Counselors work in diverse community settings designed to provide a variety of counseling and support to his/her campers. Duties vary greatly, depending on age of campers and specialty (see below). Ability to teach or assist in teaching an activity

Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control
Guide cabin groups to participate successfully and enthusiastically in all-camp events
Experience in outdoor living and camping

Environmental Education and Family/Group Program Instructor
Basic Funtion:
Program Staff are responsible for preparation, delivery, and follow up of programs offered through the Environmental Education and Family and Group Programs at Frost Valley YMCA. Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with students and guests of all ages. Frost Valley YMCA seeks to promote an awareness of the interrelationships of the natural world through the natural sciences. Frost Valley YMCA seeks to promote healthy lifestyle alternatives through individual and group decision making activities and structured socialization experiences.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education, Environmental Studies, Outdoor Recreation, or a related field. Equivalent life experience is also accepted. Must have a firm commitment to working with children from diverse backgrounds and to guest service. Standard First Aid and CPR are required and if you do not have it you will be trained upon arrival.
Salary:
$55-65/day, Room and Board included.
