Food Service
At
Frost Valley YMCA, campers and guests are discouraged from eating foods with
zero or little nutritional value, a.k.a. junk foods. Candy, soda and snack food
are neither served in the Dining Hall nor sold in the Camp Store. Instead,
Frost Valley's fabulous food service staff serve three wholesome meals daily,
with special features including morning breakfast bars, lunch and dinner salad
bars, alternate vegetarian menus, and oven-fresh breads straight from the on-site
bakery.
The Dining Hall staff also are sympathetic
to our guests dietary concerns and food allergies. If you have a food
concern please contact our Food Service Director at goodfood@frostvalley.org
or at (845) 985-2291 ext. 230. Frost Valley's food service is managed
by Chartwells Educational Dining Services, who provide nutrition planning and
food service to independent schools and colleges, corporate dining clients and
private organizations.
Health
Services
A full health center with 24 hour nursing
care is available during our Resident Camp season, and 24 hour EMT coverage
is available during the school year season for Environmental Education and Weekend
Families and Groups. A nurse is also on-site to administer medication
Monday through Friday for all students attending the Environmental Education
program. For health service questions, please contact our Health Center
Director at nurse@frostvalley.org
or at (845) 985-2291 ext. 225.
