Incoming emergency family calls can be received at our front desk in the Administration Office by dialing (845) 985-2291. Messages are also deliverable at mealtimes immediately following receipt of call.
Emergency phones can be found in or outside many of the buildings throughout camp. Once you arrive, please refer to your activities schedule for these emergency phone numbers and locations.
There are pay phones located in the Administration Office to use for all out going calls.
Please note that there is no cellular phone service at Frost Valley YMCA.
Parents, chaperones, and group leaders are responsible for providing care for illness and minor injuries, addressing medical concerns, and distributing medications.
In case of medical emergencies, Frost Valley YMCA has trained emergency medical staff who are “on call”, and who will be available to assist until ambulance personnel arrive on the scene.
Frost Valley YMCA does not provide health or accident insurance to guests or program participants.
Information on area hospitals and emergency services are available at the Administration Building.
Frost Valley YMCA is not responsible for injuries incurred resulting from guests’ use of personal sports equipment.
Group leaders should have an authorization to consent for treatment of a minor temporarily separated from his/her parents in writing.
Linens, which include sheets, pillow, pillowcase, blanket, soap, towel, and wash cloth are available only with advance notice, prior to your arrival, for $6 a set.
All indoor fireplaces are equipped with one complimentary cord of firewood.
Lodges without indoor fireplaces have outdoor fire rings and need to have firewood pre-ordered at a rate of $10 per load.
Preordered firewood requests must be called in to Frost Valley at (845) 985-2291 by Wednesday prior to arrival.
On Saturdays, firewood must be ordered prior to 2 p.m. No exceptions.
Frost Valley YMCA will not deliver more than three loads of firewood to any one fire location in the same day.
Cutting, felling, or gathering of wood is strictly prohibited. A $200 fine will be incurred for these infractions, as will occur if glass or garbage is left in fire rings or fireplaces, and/or fires are built in undesignated areas. This will be strictly enforced!
Courtesy (quiet) hours are observed from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. and are strictly enforced.
Disregarding courtesy hours will result, first in a warning. Should you proceed to disregard the warning, you will be asked to leave with the understanding that you will not be welcomed back in the future.
Open bars, kegs, and beer balls are not permitted on Frost Valley YMCA grounds. Should they be found, they will be immediately confiscated.
Alcohol is not permitted in areas shared by the general camp community.
The consumption of alcohol is only allowed in the privacy of your room.
Disregarding the alcohol policy will first result with a warning. Should you proceed to disregard the warning, you will be asked to leave with the understanding that you will not be welcomed back in the future.
Irresponsible behavior will not be tolerated and Frost Valley Associates will have perpetrators escorted off property by the State Police.
Fishing, without a license, is permitted on Lake Cole and White Pond. The fishing dock on Lake Cole is located on the southwest end of the lake.
White Pond and the branches of the East or West Neversink River, have catch and release policies for all fish, unless you are a Frost Valley Fly-Fishing member, then, membership rules apply. Any fish caught on Lake Cole may be kept.
Frost Valley YMCA has a catch and release policy.
To fish anywhere else on Frost Valley property you must be a paid Fly-Fishing Member. Information is available in the administration building or through e-mail at flyfishing@frostvalley.org.
Weapons of any kind are prohibited on Frost Valley property and will be confiscated.
Supervision
Frost Valley YMCA staff is not responsible for the supervision of guests. It is the sole responsibility of parents, chaperones and group leaders to monitor behavior at all times while visiting Frost Valley YMCA.
