Women's Wellness Weekend at Frost Valley YMCA

CLARYVILLE, NY - A Women's Wellness Weekend will be held Friday-Sunday, March 24-26 at Frost Valley YMCA in Claryville, NY.

Participants will spend two days enjoying activities that help them challenge, express, and pamper themselves. Among the events offered will be: Women's Medical Seminars, Wellness in Cooking, Nature Hikes, Watercolor Workshops, Fitness, Yoga, Life Force and Energy Workshops, DreamWorks, Drumming, Massage, Meditation, Astronomy programs and various Craft Workshops. Complementing the relaxing tone of the weekend will be Frost Valley's pristine setting on 6,000 acres in the heart of the Catskill Mountains.

"The choices are endless - from enjoying the benefits of a deep therapeutic massage, to learning more about the meditative arts or joining a yoga class," explained Frost Valley's Laura Johnson, coordinator of the event.

"Women can take long hikes in the mountains, enjoy the splendor of streams and waterfalls, or just take time out to finish a good book. They can do as little or as much as they like. Frost Valley provides the options and guests make the choices," she added.

The Women's Wellness Weekend is an opportunity for participants to focus solely on their own needs. Guests can spend time alone communing with nature, take part in an in-depth consultation, transfer their dreams to a paint canvas and much more.

"This weekend allows guests to have time for themselves and to escape from the demands of everyday life," the coordinator noted. "It's a chance to renew your spirit, mind and body."

The weekend registration fee includes all basic activities, lodging and five nutritious buffet-style meals. The program schedule runs from Friday evening through to Sunday lunchtime.
