Frost Valley YMCA Planning Girl Scout

Adventure Badge Weekend

CLARYVILLE, NY - Girl Scouts are invited to participate in Frost Valley YMCA's second annual Adventure Badge Weekend set for Friday-Sunday, Nov. 10-12 in Claryville, NY. This spring's Girl Scout Eco-Challenge Weekend enrollment quickly filled to capacity, so Scout leaders are encouraged to sign up early for the fall event. In addition to the scouting related activities, Frost Valley will be offering participants many recreational choices including staff-led hikes, arts and crafts, as well as other programs.

The programs are designed for Juniors through Senior Girl Scouts who are welcome to enjoy the weekend activities as they work toward badge requirements, enrich their lives and have fun.  Among the events planned for the Adventure Badge Weekend are: low ropes, knot-tying, guided educational hikes, obstacle course, high ropes, Cadet Career Explorer badge work, Junior and Cadette gear information sessions, campfires and the rock climbing tower. All programming is subject to change.

The Girl Scout Adventure Badge Weekend features value pricing of $85 per person. This includes lodging, five meals and programming for the entire weekend.

The schedule of events for working toward badge requirements is tentative and subject to change. Day rates are also available, please call for pricing.
