Cub Scout and Boy Scout Outdoor Weekend at Frost Valley YMCA

CLARYVILLE, NY — A Cub Scout and Boy Scout Outdoor Weekend is set for Friday-Sunday, March 16-18 at Frost Valley YMCA in Claryville, NY.

The outing provides scouts the opportunity to earn merit badges for a number of accomplishments. In addition to the scouting activities, participants will be welcome to use Frost Valley’s low ropes course, indoor climbing wall and ice skating facilities.

Scouting Weekend is for both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.  Programs will be geared towards meeting badge requirements for both Cub and Boy Scouts, though it is unlikely that all badge work will be completed during the weekend. 

“Our hope is to help Scouts accrue the elements of the badge that are difficult to do within their own scouting communities,” explained one of Frost Valley’s program coordinators.

Program information for the Cub Scout and Boy Scout Outdoor Weekend should be posted by February 28 at: website at www.frostvalley.org.

The Scout Weekend features value pricing of $90 per person. This includes lodging, meals and programming for the entire weekend. Space is limited and early registration is encouraged. Day rates are also available; please call for pricing.
