How long are the Sporting Memberships good for?
All sporting memberships are good for one year, beginning April 1st and ending March 31st.
How does the Sporting Membership process work?
If you are interested in any of the Sporting Memberships offered at Frost Valley, please contact the Natural Resources department and ask for a membership package. In the membership package, you will find an information letter explaining all of the sporting programs offered at Frost Valley, including rules and regulations, a zone map overview, fee chart, and application. After reading through the literature, fill out the application sheet (one per person), and mail the application and fees back to Frost Valley.
In order to join, you are required to pass a background check, complete an orientation, and provide payment. For a hunting membership, you also need a staff sponsor.
Can I bring a friend hunting for the day?
Those who do not have hunting memberships are not allowed to hunt on Frost Valley premises.
Can I bring a friend fly fishing for the day?
Fly Fishing members are entitled to bring one Fly Fishing guest per day for a fee of $25. Guests must register at the Welcome Center prior to fishing. Guests will receive a name tag, which must be returned prior to departure. Members assume full responsibility for their guests and must accompany them at all times.
During the summer months, it is recommended that you call the Natural Resources department before bringing a new person to camp. This will ensure that a proper background check can be completed prior to arrival.
Can I bring a friend hiking?
Members can bring one guest per visit for an additional fee of $10. Guests must register at the Welcome Center prior to hiking. Guests will receive a name tag, which must be returned prior to departure. Members assume full responsibility for their guests and must accompany them at all times.

Pets are not permitted on Frost Valley property.
What licenses do I need before I can hunt?
In order to hunt on Frost Valley property, you must complete a NYS DEC Hunter Safety Course, purchase the appropriate NYS hunting license, and be a Sport Hunting Member at Frost Valley.
Can I use my ATV at Frost Valley?
ATV (Personal All Terrain Vehicles) use for recreational riding is not allowed. The use of ATV’s are allowed for access only and is permitted on a limited number of designated trails for the purpose of encouraging hunting in remote areas.
Can I purchase a NY State fishing license at Frost Valley?
